BI Engineer (CF-34157875)

BI Engineer - 12+ Month Contract - NYC (hybrid)

Our Financial Services client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled BI Engineer to join forces with their BI/Data Analytics team.

The ideal candidate has proven experience with data and reports migration, dashboard development and building data pipelines in the AWS ecosystem.

The BI Engineer will be responsible for:

• Working alongside a robust team of Developers, SMEs and business stakeholders to effectively migrate existing BI reports to the cloud and optimize reporting within Tableau & QuickSight
• Designing & developing scheduled + ad-hoc reporting, interactive dashboards and data feeds
• Building/optimizing data pipelines (ETL Scheduling & automation) within AWS

Required Skills:

• 5+ years professional work experience as a BI Developer/Engineer (Tableau preferred, QuickSight a plus)
• 2+ years experience working within an AWS ecosystem (S3, Athena, Sagemaker)
• Experience leveraging Python to build ETL pipelines
• Experience with reports/data migration from legacy systems to a cloud environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Kafka
• Experience working in a financial services environment and/or payment systems like CHIPS/SWIFT/ACH
