Data Scientist position with a Marine Technology company in Bristol. The company provides control and monitoring systems, specialising in autonomous autopilot and IoT remote monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced analytics and machine learning models using Python.
  • Use AWS to manage and process large data sets and build data pipelines.
  • Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be used to drive business decisions.
  • Communicate results and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement solutions that meet business needs.

The business is on the lookout for an exceptional Data Scientist's who shares our passion for innovation and excellence and who has a "can-do" attitude.

The ideal candidate would have these skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Data Science.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with data analysis libraries such as pandas and numpy.
  • Strong understanding of statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience working with AWS services, including S3, Lambda, and EC2.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Desirable

  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
