Data Science Engineer opportunity to join a rapidly expanding Software Technology provider in Oxford.

Data is at the heart of their business and it is vital in everything they do. You will be joining a cross-functional Data team with an exciting challenge ahead.

You will be leading one of 4 pillars of the larger data team. You will be involved in real-time analytics using the newest technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to gain new skills. You will be using machine learning to improve products withing the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Building machine learning algorithms for Technical devices & to improve business outcomes

- Creating data pipelines and analytics tools to provide insight for core business functions & external partners

- Contribute to the development of mathematical/statistical/computational models to identify and test causal relationships in data

- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to communicate and explain insights from data and provide strategic advice to the business

Skills required;

Higher university degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Econometrics, or a relevant field of applied mathematics with focus on data science or statistics

Broad statistical awareness with the ability to develop innovative experimentation and analysis methods, formulate hypotheses based on real-word data, uncover causal mechanisms, and build informative visualisations.

Exposure to cloud (Ideally Azure)

Development of greenfield projects ideally in Azure or AWS

Familiar with technologies like SQL, NoSQL, Big Data, Hadoop,

Programming experience with either Python / Java / Scala

You will need to communicate with technical and non-technical stake holders.
