A vacancy for an Embedded Software Engineer is now available for a Cheshire based company who are leaders within the safety critical industry. The company have a global presence and are now looking at expanding their Engineering team with a Senior Embedded Software Engineer who will be a key member of the team! Initially this role will be remote working.

As their Senior Embedded Software Engineer you will have experience device drivers and application level code with a good understanding of hardware.

Core skills for this role include:-

  • Degree in software engineering, engineering or a science discipline or with equivalent industrial experience
  • Experience of hard, real time embedded software with or without an operating system
  • Background in software development in a safety critical industry
  • Experience of writing C, C++, Python
  • Experience of developing FPGA and micro-controllers
  • Experience of developing software test cases, code reviews and static code analysis

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience within a safety critical industry sector
  • Experience of Electronics Design
  • Experience of ARM Cortex processors
  • Experience of FPGA design
  • Experience of programming in assembler
  • Any experience of DSP algorithm development will be a plus
