Role: Head of Hosting & Cloud
Location: Hybrid (London 2-3 days)
Rate: £800pd
IR35: TBC (likely Inside)
Contract Length: 6 Months

My client are a large consultancy, looking to support one of their financial services customers to help manage the portfolio of technology services provided to the International business users and business lines.

Key skills and experience:

  • Strong understanding of the finance industry, budget authority for TMHCCI Hosting & Cloud function.
  • Technology management skills to take responsibility for the design, procurement, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance, and effective use of IT infrastructure components and monitors their performance.
  • At least 10 years leading design and support of enterprise-level IT infrastructure.
  • Practical knowledge of ITIL application processes and implementation.
  • Proven experience of managing on premise Infrastructure & VMware Platforms.
  • Proven experience in managing cloud native operations in AWS, Azure, through times of significant cloud transformation.
  • Experience of CI\CD, automation, orchestration & Infrastructure as code methodologies.

Deliverables:

  • Has overall responsibility for Hosting and Cloud Team, Automation team and DBA team.
  • This role will set the strategy for the management of the portfolio of technology services provided to the International business users and business lines.
  • Identifies and manages resources needed for budgeting, estimating, planning, developing and delivering a specified portfolio of technology services and systems.
  • Plans and manages the implementation of processes and procedures, tools and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of technology services.
  • Optimizing team performance, improving processes and procedures, monitoring systems, management of the currency and security protection of the infrastructure & cloud services.
