Machine Learning Team Leader - up to £75,000 + 10% Bonus + Bens

The company develops unique solutions for AI enabled visual processing. The AI & Services division leverages powerful Simulator technology and AI toolkit to deliver customised, domain-specific training data as well as fully trained networks to customers in a range of industries.

Based in either London or Sheffield, this is a prime opportunity to get in on the ground floor as the company expand its UK development team offering fantastic progression opportunities.

The Machine Learning Team Leader will lead of a dedicated team of researchers investigating and productising practical methods for network explainability, domain gap analysis and minimisation.

Key Qualifications

  • A knack for statistical analysis and predictive modelling
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A solid understanding of Machine Learning concepts, managing data sets and AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch or similar) as well as experience of developing Deep Learning models
  • Expertise or specialism in a particular domain of ML (including but not limited to deep learning, computer vision) combined with a broad view of the full ML picture
  • Programming experience (including machine learning framework experience)
  • Having a startup mindset and a passion for scale up of the AI research team

Description

This role will be leading the development and deployment into our commercial products of tools and techniques to aid in the effective curation of data in a data centric training environment.

Create development plans for your team's work and track the execution of the design work, oversee the company's collaboration with academia, ensure the timely execution of research projects and transfer of technology into production.

Report development progress to management.

Experience and education

PhD (or equivalent knowledge and experience) in computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field.

3 Years of experience in Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Data Science.

Prior experience in leadership and/or management positions, in industry or academia
