You have the opportunity to join a fast-growing business based in Southampton, on a permanent basis. The company we have partnered with is developing cutting-edge technology within the communications space. They are looking to grow their R&D group significantly, which will include 2x Senior ASIC Design Engineers.

Within this role, you will be responsible for delivering a number a projects within a timely manner and to a high quality. This will include the optimisation, synthesis and characterisation of ASIC solutions. You will also provide mentorship to aid the development of junior colleagues occasionally.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant Degree (BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng) or equivalent.
  • 10 Years of experience within the semiconductor industry.
  • Great understanding of Python/TCL Scripting for synthesis, static timing closure and formal verification.
  • Proficient with EDA Tools such as Synopsys or Cadence.
  • Documentation experience (Preferably Confluence).
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience of porting FPGA Designs to ASIC targets.
  • Knowledge of ASIC synthesis and back-end processes.
  • Experience of DFT techniques and tools including MEMBIST.
  • Automation experience (Preferably Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of back-end flow including floorplanning, LVS/DRC and UPF.
