My Client are looking for a Software Support Engineer (great problem solver) to join their growing team, The company build a product that integrates with hardware within the manufacturing sector.

The software they build is very complicated and to fully grasp everything it does you will be exposed to mathematics, physics, electrical and mechanical topics. What we are looking for is someone who is essentially a great problem solver and a people person.

Your role will be to speak to technical staff at the customer site and help diagnose issues occurring with the product. Once the route of the problem has been identified you will work with the rest of the development and test team to solve the problem.

As previously mentioned the product you will be supporting is very complicated and always evolving. So you will spend up to your first 6 months being trained by the team who are all very experienced, friendly and approachable.

Role - Software support Engineer

Location - Bristol - hybrid / office 2-3 days a week

Salary - £23k - £30k doe sponsorship offered

  • A quick learner, you will be expected to pick up information on new systems, applications and industries quickly to be able to support the company's products and projects
  • A logical approach to problems, a good communicator, you will be confident and articulate and able to talk with our internal and external customers to get the information needed to work through issues raised
  • A strong work ethic, you will be motivated and keen to focus on the work at hand and to multitask between different work tasks when the team are busy
  • A positive 'Have a go' attitude, you will be faced with many challenges in the role, all we ask is that you approach the challenge with a positive view and are willing to ask for help when needed
