A large global company is looking to hire an Infrastructure and Application Engineer for their South Dublin Office

Your background as Infrastructure and Application Engineer

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology is required
  • 8 years' experience in infrastructure and applications
  • Proven experience working in a Vmware environment
  • Citrix and Microsoft server certifications are a requirement
  • Previous experience working to agile methodologies, and working in a pharmaceutical company

Your role as Infrastructure and Application Engineer

  • You will become a member of the IT shared service team, supporting the IT function for multiple sites for the business
  • You will act as a technical expert on-site in relation to managing business applications and ensuring they meet requirements
  • You will work to analyse IT processes to develop viable solutions and resolve complex technical issues
  • You will work alongside project teams in documenting technical requirements for new applications on-site
  • You will analyse, configure and maintain the IT infrastructure in accordance to company standards, and industry best practice
  • You will work with relevant teams and vendors in providing technical expertise to support projects and operations in the company
  • You will lead the development of IT architecture and infrastructure, and planning and changes to systems solutions
  • You will work to ITIL and systems life cycle standards
