My client is hiring several Product Owners. Reporting to one of their Directors of Product Management, you will be pivotal to the definition and delivery of their software products for clients. As a Product Owner, you will be involved in evolving their products and platform by understanding their business, their products, helping to design new features, and improving communications and collaboration inside the team and across their organisation.

Ultimately their goal is to transform the Asset Management industry through technology, and they aim to achieve this by continually improving the software and products they build for their extensive client base. You will be part of one of their leading engineering teams.

Exp as a Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst for minimum 2 years
Proficiency in prototyping/design, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles
Experience successfully driving end-to-end delivery of software solutions
Delivering software solutions with a client-first mindset
Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams
Fluency in using tooling to manage work (Backlog, Stories, Epics, Scrum etc
Tools to develop screen mocks (eg Balsamiq)
Product Owner training/certification or certification in user-oriented design eg Design Thinking is a distinct advantage
Atlassian suite of products (Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence) is preferred
Different types of software delivery (SaaS, On-Prem, Desktop, Web, in-house, for clients) is preferred
Asset Management / Fund Management industry and or wider Financial Services industry is a distinct advantage

Be the Product owner for one or more Scrum teams
Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements
Work with the Product Management team to create and maintain a product backlog according to agreed priorities
Plan and prioritise product feature backlog and development for the product
Analyse, prioritise stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
Work with the Engineering team to design new features and improvements
Work with the Engineering team to create clear stories with clear use-cases, acceptance criteria, screen mocks, tasks, estimates
Ensure the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Project, Release, and Sprint Goals for your product
Research and analyse the external market, existing and target user segments, and the required road map for the product
Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
Help continually improve practices
