Position Summary

*Has 3 separate IT team, Business Technology Lead (BTL), Product Line Owner (PLO), and Technology Service (TS). This position will belong to PLO team, specifically focus on SCM in Medical Company area.

The ERP PLO team provides end-to-end Supply Chain solutions aligned with strategic goals of the organization to deliver innovative value to our customers.

Business Analyst ERP PLO will support BTL, other PLO, and Business Product Owner (BPO) to design and build new capabilities and/or enhancements to a product, platform, or feature/application focus.

The role will be primarily for MedTech ERP with focus on Japan

This position will drive improvements in partnership with Product Line Owners, to support capabilities for distribution of products to customers on time with optimized service cost, enhanced customer engagement, and product traceability.

The ERP PL Business Analyst will contribute with the IT TS functional Analyst to design solutions that meets the business requirements. Partner with the Scrum team to estimate the duration and cost of the project. Effectively communicate project expectations and status to stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Process & technology leadership

o Provide expertise to business in available solutions

o Possess a good understanding of the business and competitive environment

o Demonstrate a Good understanding of business processes

o Works with PLOs/ product owners to identify new technologies for continuous process improvement

Projects & Enhancement execution

o Accountable for projects assigned to her/him

o Work closely with Business partners, BTLs and BPO to align and determine best solutions and services to solve business problems in this area

o Tracks progress of product development

o Accountable for all aspects of delivery for the area of responsibility assigned

Product Backlog Grooming & Capacity Team

o Grooms and scopes accurate product backlog,

o Aligns with service level on effort estimates for epics and user stories

o Understand utilization, risks and work with stakeholders to prioritize development items

Platform stability and support

o Connect with platform owners, technical services team, ISRM and stakeholders to resolve high priority incidents and compliance related escalations.

o Be a point of Contact for Level 1 and 2 incidents to communicate to business and get the solution & RCA from TS at the earliest

o Be a Conduit for escalations of Ageing incidents

Detail Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities :

  • Develops understanding of how the business competes, values, and delivers products and services. Based on the gained knowledge, experiment ideas which can drive innovation in new customer touch points, new ways of competing and continuous improvements. Collaborates with BUIT counterparts in other sectors to share technologies/ideas.(10%)
  • Writes with the BPO the business requirements that will be used by the Scrum teams to develop the business solutions. Collaborates with Scrum Master to estimate cost and duration of development. Responsible for the technical solution getting done correctly. (30%)
  • Manages projects under tight time pressure. Resolves business and technical challenges to deliver on time, cost and quality and to ensure realization of business benefits. Effectively communicate team expectations and status to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. (25%)
  • Works with the business stakeholders to prioritize backlogs. (25%)
  • Administrative work.(10%)

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A minimum of 5 years of IT experience is required, a minimum of 3 years relevant SAP SCM (especially SD/MM) experience is required
  • Bilingual in English (TOEIC over 800) and Japanese (JLPT 1 above)
  • Ability to translate business requirements into Technical Epics/Stories. Experience working across multiple levels of business and IT stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of technology trends and to apply this knowledge to existing business processes especially on the order to cash / warehouse management area
  • Strong technology knowledge and how to apply that technology.
  • Strong personal commitment to continuous business improvement, and effectively collaborating and managing our business stakeholders
  • Capable of working as part of a team and on own initiative. Capable to change priorities quickly .
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment and working closely with shared services organization
  • Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
  • Good problem solving, analytical and design skills are required.
  • Solid written, presentation and verbal communication skills are required.
