As a growing business in Japan, we are extremely thrilled to be awarded IT & Technology Recruitment Company of the Year at Recruitment International 2018. This is a special and much coveted accolade in the industry – one of world’s most sought after recruitment industry awards.
Recruitment International (RI) Awards recognise innovation and best practices in the Japanese recruitment industry. With a range of judges comprising of entrepreneurs, business leaders and pioneers from the industry, it is a true testament for the work that our Japan team has achieved to be doubly rewarded last Friday at the Tokyo American Club for a night of celebration.
Grant Habgood, Managing Director of SThree Japan, said, “It’s such a humbling experience to receive these awards on behalf of SThree. It’s also almost unbelievable to see how far we have come in the 5 years since we established this business. A few years ago we were lucky enough to win the Best New Comer Award at this event. We set ourselves the goal of coming back and winning some of the main awards in a few years’ time. It’s so pleasing to have achieved that.”
“Winning the accolades is a testament to the great people that we have hired and retained in the business over the years. It’s also a reflection of the tireless work we have put in to get the structures and frameworks in place that ensure we are able to constantly improve by analysing our performance, collating customer feedback and putting that into actionable improvements.”
Proud of our IT & Technology Recruitment brand – Computer Futures
We’re extremely proud of our Technology brand, Computer Futures with the tremendous success it has from the relationships they’ve built with both clients and candidates. They’ve learned to support the local community in different ways. One of which is the partnership we have with local coding schools. As the need for software engineers increase in Japan, we partner with coding boot camps – Le Wagon and Code Chrysalis to build a strong relationship within the community that can create a huge impact in the industry. With this partnership, our candidates know how and where to develop their skills to the next level and upon completion, we are proud to introduce them to new opportunities.
Our consultants are also able to advise them on interview techniques and industry knowledge that they otherwise wouldn’t have known. In addition, we conduct interview features for our clients to introduce their brand and the work they do in the market. Beyond that, we are actively involved in technology and start-up events such as Slush Tokyo, Tech In Asia, and Security Days to share the latest market information with attendees and meet with individuals to provide career tips alongside a consultancy service.
Chris Reilly, Associate Director of Computer Futures Japan, commented “Another high point in what has already been a fantastic year - Computer Futures, part of the larger SThree group picked up the IT & Technology Recruitment Company of the Year prize at this year’s Recruitment International Awards. I’m very proud of everything we’ve achieved over the last 18 months and with a strong leadership team (hat tip to team managers - Alexander, Tommy, and Varun), a team of market experts delivering great service to our customers and (hopefully!) a solid strategy and vision for the future, I am confident the best is yet to come. A real team effort - on behalf of Grant and myself I'd just like to say a huge thank you to our clients, candidates and everyone in CF Japan for making this happen. Onward and upward.”
Huge congratulations to everyone in the team
This has been a phenomenal achievement for an organisation that has only been going for five years. But this is just the beginning of many greater partnerships in the coming months with both candidates and clients alike. A very big well done to everyone in the team and a huge congratulations to all award winners and nominees.
