On Thursday 21st November, at the Computer Futures offices at One Sansome Street, Suite 3900, San Francisco, Stephanie will be joined by a number of special guests who’ll be sharing their expertise on all things Salesforce. From 5pm, we’ll be opening our doors to David Liu (SFDC99), Ben McCarthy (Founder of Salesforce Ben), Gemma Emmett Blezard (Founder of Ladies Be Architects), Hector Perez Jr, (Co-founder of Merivis), Sheldon Simmons (Merivis Board Member), Rakia Finley (Founding Partner of Copper & Vine) and you too!

Stephanie launched Salesforce Saturday in Austin, TX back in 2015. The purpose of the initiative is to set aside one day a week where Salesforce enthusiasts can come together to grow, learn from each other, and develop their skills and careers.
Here’s a little more about the people who’ll be joining our Dreamforce edition of Salesforce Saturday:
Stephanie Herrera – Global VP of Salesforce, Computer Futures
Stephanie’s list of achievements and contribution to the Salesforce Ohana is incredibly impressive and has led to her being named a Salesforce MVP. In 2015, she founded Salesforce Saturdays – which helps grow individual skill sets through peer mentorship within the Salesforce platform – and that has now grown to 50 new chapters across the globe. She is on the Board of Directors for the Merivis Foundation, which helps veterans and their partners into a career in Salesforce. In 2016 she was shortlisted as a finalist for Mentor of the Year in Austin’s Under 40 Awards, and in 2017 Stephanie and her co-founders of PepUp Tech were given the TrailheaDX Equality Trailblazer Award by Salesforce. Earlier this year, Stephanie joined Computer Futures as our VP of Salesforce practice. David Liu – Founder of SFDC99 – Salesforce Technical Architect, Google
David is a self-taught SFDC Developer. He’s hugely recognizable across the ecosystem due to his blog ‘SFDC99’ – the goal of his website is to empower people with easy methods to learn how to code in Apex. Six-time Salesforce MVP, Salesforce Developer Golden Hoodie Winner, and 16 times certified! He’s dedicated his career to the platform and his love for it grows by the day.
Ben McCarthy – Founder of Salesforce Ben, Managing Director, EMPAUA
Salesforce MVP Ben McCarthy set up Salesforce Ben in 2014 and since then he’s taken the Salesforce community by storm. As the most popular Salesforce blog on the planet, Salesforce Ben offers a whole world of relevant and engaging content for all Salesforce professionals – no matter who you are! Gemma Emmett Blezard – Founder of Ladies Be Architects, CEO, Architect Club
Gemma founded Ladies Be Architects in November 2017. Based in the UK, Gemma has 16 certifications and 11 years’ experience working with the Salesforce platform. At Salesforce World Tour London 2018, she became the proud winner of the Golden Hoodie.
In 2019 Gemma was listed in the BIMA100 and TechWomen 100 as a digital leader in tech. She was also awarded Salesforce MVP status and was nominated for WeAreTheCity’s Rising Star award and the Role Model of the Year category in the Women in IT Excellence awards, in recognition of her contribution to diversity in tech.
Rakia Finley – Founding Partner, Copper & Vine
Rakia Finley is not just a Salesforce MVP, she’s also the founding partner at Copper & Vine Studio. As an American software executive, Rakia is best known for her inspiring work with the Obama Administration, partnering with them on their ‘Girls in STEM initiative’. Named FemTech’s Powerful Woman Programmer in 2016 and 2017, she continues to develop innovative technology solutions and community initiatives that promote gender diversity in STEM.
Hector Perez Jr – CRM Strategy and Platform Lead, Amazon Web Services / Founder & Board Member, Merivis
Hector is a huge name in the Salesforce ecosystem. Not only is he a Golden Hoodie winner, but as a former combat medic, with seven years’ experience in the air force and civil service, he decided to set up the incredible initiative, Merivis. Merivis supports veterans and military spouses preparing for their next mission through training, mentorship, and job placement for Salesforce cloud technology careers. Sheldon Simmons – Salesforce Consultant, PolSource
5 x Salesforce certified, Sheldon is not only a Golden Hoodie winner, but he's a Navy veteran who loves working with people. He’s also spent the last two years on the Board of Directors for Merivis. He gives up his time and talent in supporting veterans to accelerate their careers through Salesforce. Both Sheldon and Hector were also highlighted in the Dreamforce 2019 keynote!
