Architect / Leadership opportunity to join a brand new start-up near Fareham. The company is backed by a highly successful Technology company who sell their product internationally. The company has identified a new product that will need to be developed from Scratch and operated under this new company.

You will be the Architect and Technical Lead

A key leading role is required by an existing technology company with a highly successful product already at market. The company has identified a new product that will need developing from scratch. The new product will be operated by a new company that is being set up specifically for this purpose and under the umbrella of the 'group'. The new product will be integrated with the existing product. Both products are developed in the UK and sold internationally. This role will be the technical lead in a small team setting up the new company and product. Based on performance, a share in the new company will be offered. High level expectations of the role are as follows:

  • Requirements validation (with customers)
  • Working with the business lead
  • Systems architecture
  • Selecting the technology stack for the new product
  • Designing a modular solution including documentation of the design
  • Designing the solution to be scalable
  • Setting up the cloud based infrastructure required for the product including security standards (e.g. in Azure / AWS)
  • Designing the integration with the existing product
  • Developing / leading the development required to obtain an MVP
  • Recruiting additional development and testing resource
  • Commercial understanding of how software companies operate and succeed during start-up

Candidates will have had experience in the following areas:

  • Designing and developing new systems from scratch
  • Selecting technological solutions
  • Building successful teams
  • Agile development and release processes
  • Software Development experience

Ideal candidates will have experience of working with a start-up / new venture and have the mind-set and skills required to be flexible to suit requirements.
