With a workforce of around 25,000 individuals, the company distributes medications across over 170 nations globally.

This role entails overseeing the organizational aspects of the Data Management team and leading them as a people manager. The role also involves supervising a range of Data Management projects and tasks to offer support to operational functions. The Data Management Team, as part of the IT organization, contributes to providing solutions for commercial departments, specifically Sales & Marketing, and extends its coverage to certain non-commercial sectors such as Medical, R&D, Market Access, Regulatory, and other auxiliary functions. This collaboration aims to enhance operational efficiency in their respective business processes.

Primary Duties:
- The Data Management Team is tasked with devising, constructing, and executing sophisticated information management solutions, employing diverse technologies such as big data, master data, data profiling, batch processing, and data indexing technologies.
- Oversee and manage the Data Management team as a team leader. The team currently comprises two associate members and three data engineers on a contract basis.
- Assume a position of leadership and representation for Global Projects as a Japan representative, in collaboration with members of the Global IT capability tower.
- Define data quality regulations and institute processes for the implementation of a sturdy data foundation.
- Forge a robust data governance framework by collaborating with stakeholders both globally and within the affiliate.
- Utilize programming frameworks/languages like core Spark, Spark SQL, and Python for data transformation to a new data platform. Ensure that pertinent security and compliance protocols are followed for information access and application execution.
