Junior / Mid-Level Data Scientist
Are you a mathematical magician or data science sorcerer with a penchant for Python? Do SQL queries flow through your veins like poetry? If you're nodding and thinking "CI/CD? AWS? Power BI? I've danced with them all," great stuff.
Bonus points for AWS or other cloud systems - you've made data rain from the cloud, and MATLAB for those days you want to take data on a unique dance, power BI for turning data into visual stories and have experience on related data projects - hopefully you've been around the data block.
My client are a well-established financial services company based out of Bristol offering hybrid or remote working and are on the hunt for insights others might miss, they are looking for a Data Scientist who can keep up with their analytical antics and help uncover hidden treasures in their data troves.
Role - Data Scientist Junior / Mid-level
Location - Bristol office but role is remote or hybrid dependent on candidate preference
Salary - Junior £35k - £45k / Mid-level £45k - £60k
What will I be doing you say?
You will be responsible for the design, review, and operate data science projects, (the puppet master of data) your code will be the Mozart of algorithms - harmonious, efficient and beautiful.
You will understand the data application life cycle like the back of your hand from inception to evolution, bridging between the business and technology areas whilst prioritising your workload.
Understand and improve quality of data systems and Identify ways and means to improve data, process resilience and stability and provide accurate estimates for work and resource to an agreed, defined schedule.
Ensure daily product operational checks are carried out effectively and adopt and promote software development best practice whilst maintaining full system documentation including logical & detailed designs.
It's essential you have a qualification or relative experience in mathematics or data science - don't want you getting lost in numbers ! you will be best friends with Python, and you'll have conversations with databases in your sleep with SQL, experience with CI/CD - because continuous improvement is your middle name.
