You will work with a global financial SaaS company that is currently experiencing vast growth in their Dublin City Centre location. With offices in the US, EU and abroad, the company has doubled their workforce in Ireland in the last year, and look to continue to expand this year. The company serves over 300 financial companies in over 30 countries worldwide. They are determined to add sharp, driven individuals that influence the business and are passionate about providing top level network security support to several clients. The company now requires a Network Security Consultant to join their infrastructure team, working closely with multiple clients on the daily operation of the platform.

Your Role as Network Security Consultant

As network security consultant, you will work with senior network and security engineers implementing new tools and services to the company platform, as well as administrating security audits, firewall changes and network troubleshooting. You will play a key role in on-boarding new clients to the company platform, including service integration and security configuration. You will have a particular focus on providing infrastructure support of the platform for a large client base

  • You will manage, track and troubleshoot systems
  • You will support third party infrastructure applications i.e File transfer and Citrix XenApp
  • You will be involved in incident response and troubleshoot as issues emerge
  • You will work collaboratively with software teams to automate support procedures and have a strong understanding of IT security and its significance to the company and its clients
  • You will also write SQL queries, executing minor database administrator duties
  • As network security consultant, you will be responsible for complying with company policies, procedures and technical standards

Your Background as Network Security Consultant

  • BSc in related discipline i.e Computer Science, IT, Science, Mathematics
  • 5+ years' working in infrastructure related position
  • 2+ years' with application server support and or MS Windows Server
  • Previous experience working with switches, routers and firewalls and knowledge of network architecture i.e VLANS, LAN/WAN
  • Experience working with technologies such as: Wireshark, CISCO ASA, Palo Alto Checkpoint, Juniper, Rundesk, Ansible, Puppet Plus, Active Directory, SQL Server, DFS, Group Policies, AutoSys, BMC Control-M
  • You have experience working with security tools, including identity management and vulnerability management
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework
