We will also notify you of other vacancies that we believe are relevant to your skills, unless you opt-out of these notifications. We will retain the data used for this purpose as per our business requirements, to help you build your career. 

If We Agree To Put Your Forward For A Job Vacancy

We will process the data you provide to us, as our legitimate interest (or explicit consent in Germany) for the purpose of submitting your application for that role. The data typically includes contact details, career history, right to work information, education information, membership information, financial information, identity information, tax information and bank details. We will retain the data used for this purpose as per our business requirements from completion of the application process. 

If the recruiting company (our client) asks us to perform background checks, they will be the controller of that process and we will be the processor. Their privacy notice will apply.

If You Want Us To Tell You About Other Recruitment Opportunities

We will process the data you provide to us, as our legitimate interest (or explicit consent in Germany) for the purpose of identifying job opportunities that we believe to be relevant to your skillset and notifying you of that opportunity. We will retain the data for this purpose until you ask that we do not tell you about any further job opportunities. 

If Your Professional Profile Is Published Online – Candidates

We are always on the lookout for exceptional candidates, to help develop your career.

If we find your profile online and believe that it will be relevant to our clients, where local direct marketing legislation allows (for email, SMS, social media message, phone or post) we will add your details to our database and send you a message to let you know we’ll notify you of relevant jobs. We will retain the data for this purpose until you ask that we do not tell you about any further job opportunities.

If Your Professional Profile Is Published Online - Managers

We are always on the lookout for great clients to support with their recruitment needs. potentially exceptional candidates.

If we find your profile online and believe that it will be relevant to our clients, where local direct marketing legislation allows (for email, SMS, social media message, phone or post) we will add your details to our database and send you a message to let you know we’ll notify you that we are here to help. We will retain the data for this purpose until you ask that we do not tell you about our services or relevant clients.

If We Contract Your Services Out To Clients

We will process data about you to facilitate the engagement with clients. We will process your data on a contractual basis, if we have a direct contract with you. We will process your data as a legitimate interest, if our contract is with your Personal Service Company or intermediary organisation. This personal data will typically includes name, contact details, education details, employment/project history, emergency contacts, immigration status, financial information (for the purposes of processing financial background checks), social security number. We will retain this data in accordance with the local statutory provisions and statue of liability. 

If You Apply For A Role To Work At SThree

We will record the data you provide to us, for the purpose of entering a contract of employment. We ask that you do not provide us with any data that is deemed sensitive under European data protection law.

We will retain the personal data you provide to us, such as your contact details and business role, in order to professionally liaise with you, as part of that business relationship, We will retain that data until we expect no further engagement with you or your company. 

Your Rights

All members of the SThree Group respect your privacy rights.

This includes your right to:

  • Request that we send a copy of the personal data that we hold about you, to you or a third party (right to portability).
  • Request that personal data we hold about you is corrected or deleted.
  • Request that we restrict or suspend processing of personal data we hold about you.
  • Request that we manually review any automated decisions that relate to you.
  • Escalate the matter to SThree’s independent Data Protection Officer or to your local competent Supervisory Authority. The SThree Group is regulated by the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (www.ico.org.uk).

We will respond to your request within the statutory period and typically seek to resolve the matter within one month.

Other Matters

Where we believe processing is better performed by professional third-party specialists, we will outsource the processing to them under written agreement and under approved safeguards for any data that is transferred internationally.

Our IT systems are hosted in the UK. As such, all personal data will be processed in the UK under approved safeguards for data transfers, including EU standard contractual clauses where appropriate.

We do not sell or personal data to other data controllers without your consent.

Personal data will be shared with third parties where we have a legal necessity or obligation to do so. Examples include, but are not limited to, law enforcement agencies, tax authorities, legal advisors and criminal investigations agencies.

Right To Delete: California Consumers have the right to submit a verifiable request for deletion of their personal information that the Company has collected or maintains. 

Right to Opt Out of Sale: California Consumers have the right to opt out of the sale of their personal information. California Consumers under the age of 16 must opt in to the sale of their personal information, or their parent or guardian must opt in on their behalf. As noted above, the Company did not sell California Consumers’ personal information during the past 12 months.

  1. How We Will Verify Your Request:

The processes that we follow to verify your identity when you make a request to know or a request to delete are described below. The relevant process depends on how and why the request is submitted. 

The verification process that we follow will depend on the nature of your request as described below: 

  1. Requests To Know Categories Or Purposes: If you request to know the categories of Personal Information collected, sources, sales, or the Company’s business or commercial purposes for use of your Personal Information, we will match at least two data points that you provide with your request to know, or in response to our request for verification information, against information about you we already have in our records and that we have determined to be reliable for purposes of verifying your identity. Examples of relevant data points include your mobile phone number, your zip code, or information about products or services that you have purchased from us. 
  1. Requests To Know Specific Pieces Of Personal Information: We will match at least three data points that you provide with your request to know, or in response to our request for verification information, against information that we already have about you in our records and that we have determined to be reliable for purposes of verifying your identity. In addition, we will require you to sign a declaration under penalty of perjury that you are the California consumer whose personal information is the subject of the request. 
  1. Requests To Delete Personal Information: Our process for verifying your identity will depend on the sensitivity (as determined by the Company) of the personal information that you ask us to delete. For less sensitive personal information, we will require a match of two data points as described in Point No. 1, above. For more sensitive personal information, we will require a match of three data points and a signed declaration as described in Point No. 2, above. 

We have implemented the following additional procedures when verifying the identity of requestors: 

  1. If we cannot verify your identity based on the processes described above, we may ask you for additional verification information. If we do so, we will permanently delete the verification information that you provide promptly after we have completed the verification process. We will not use that information for any purpose other than verification. 
  1. If we cannot verify your identity to a sufficient level of certainty to respond to your request, we will let you know promptly and explain why we cannot verify your identity. 
  1. Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to exercise your right to know or your right to delete by submitting to us a completed “Authorized Agent Designation” form. You can obtain the designation form by contacting us at [email protected]. 

If an authorized agent submits a request to know or a request to delete on your behalf, the authorized agent must submit with the request either (a) a power of attorney that is valid under California law, or (b) a document signed by you that authorizes the authorized agent to submit the request on your behalf. In addition, we may ask you to follow the applicable process described above for verifying your identity. 

  1. Company’s Non-Discrimination Policy

California Consumers have the right not to be subject to discriminatory treatment by the Company for exercising their privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and the Company will not discriminate on that basis. However, the Company may charge a California consumer a different price or rate or provide a different level or quality of goods or services if the difference is reasonably related to the value provided to the California Consumer by the consumer’s personal information.
